Everytime I watch this video I feel empowered. Doesn't Jennifer Hudson look amazing? She was beautiful before but she is glowing now! I CAN!

Walk It Out Review
Just burned off some calories using my Walk It Out by Wii. It was easy to set up and get started. I love that you have a guide that tells you if you are keeping up with the beat correctly. You earn points or coins for keeping the beat and you use this to build up your island.
I did find that trying to click on the floating "building coins" while I was walking was a challenge but once I got in a pace it wasn't too bad.
I suggest choosing the male walking partner as the female was really annoying.
In any case I did my Walk It Out walk for about 15 minutes and it was equal to a mile. It was fun, and I could have done it for much longer but the kids are barking at me to take them to McDonalds.
Two Thumbs Up for Walk It Out!!!!

The 1st Weight Watchers Wednesday!
So here is the scoop:
Start Day (this time): September 1st
Total Loss so far: A whopping 3.5 lbs (better down than up right?)
Loss for this week: .5 lbs
Well I have to admit I started strong and ended weakly. My goal this week is just to stick to points and journal. I am using the WW app for my Iphone and it is sooooo much better than writing in a paper journal for me. I am also doing the online version of Weight Watchers. I would prefer to do the meetings but right now I simply have ZERO time to add another appointment to my calendar. I can say the message boards are a great place to share and gather information, get encouragement and a challenge.
So here is my low point breakfast today:
1 c multi-grain cheerios (on sale $1.88 a box)
1/2 of a large bananna sliced
3/4 c of 1% milk
Coffee with 1/2 c of fat free half and half and truvia
And the grand total for that breakfast?????????
5 points!!!!!
At some point this week I plan to open Walk It Out for the Wii - I'll post a review after. :) I have only had it sitting here for 3 weeks waiting to be opened!

Ok as a side note I'd love to know if anyone is reading this so please leave a comment here or anywhere on the blog and say hello.

Creative Hiding...
I wouldn't say that this is really repurposing but "creative" hiding. As a homeschooler, of 15 years, I have books in shelves, boxes, crevices and corners; I am my own personal library. Well one large plastic box has been sitting in my formal (LOL) living room because frankly we aren't using it right now and I need to cover it quick!
This was my solution!
This was my solution!
Add twin sheet, craigslist mirror that still needs paint and a few odds and ends...VIOLA you have a side table. :)
Deal of the Day!
Canvas People is offering a FREE (that's right F*R*E*E!!) 8x10 gallery wrapped canvas. I believe the shipping is $14.95. OR, you can take the credit and apply it to a larger canvas.
I have a huge canvas of my youngest daughter taken at the Dallas Arboretum and it is a work of art in our living room.

BTW this great deal was found at the Frugal Girls Website - I follow them on Facebook for the latest and greatest deals!!!!

Welcome to my blog!
I have had blogs in the past and they were usually about one specific thing or another. I've decided this one is all encompassing - me, family, life, church, photography, school, homeschool and now my decorating endeavors and frugal living (thanks Financial Peace University).
Recently we have joined the Financial Peace University class at our church. To say that I have not always embraced a practical or frugal lifestyle is more than accurate. But in the last few years I have found the joy in shopping with coupons (see www.thegrocerygame.com for all the fun!), thrift shopping (I don't mind when the kids ruin a pair of jeans I paid $2 or $3 for nearly as much as when the ruin retail priced jeans), and most recently repurposing in decorating (see pics below). My next venture is going to be building my own furniture at a fraction of retail prices (see Knock Off Wood and Ana at http://www.ana-white.com/).
Now FPU is really challenging me to stick to a budget, save and "live like no one else so later we can live like no one else" (quote by Dave Ramsey).
You might ask why the title Imperfectly Happy...well I guess that sums me up. I am far from perfect but happy inspite of that - I have an AWESOME God, wonderful family, super cool friends and you can't ask for much more than that.
So that is sort of the “kick-off” blog post. Please bear with my boring white/plain blog as I try to figure out my look and themes. I hope you'll find something here that peaks your interest, makes you comment and brings you back.
