3rd times a charm?

On Saturday I bravely sucked up my last bit of pride and signed up for WW...again.  This time I have joined a group that includes 3 friends from church and 3 ladies from my friend's work.  I believe this will prove to be a great motivation to go and help me to stay accountable.

I have also had an epiphany of sorts as well.  I don't think WW will work this time because I follow the plan or call this a diet.  It will work this time because I will go to the meetings like other addicts go to AA.  I believe I have finally come to terms with food being a true addiction - one I readily run to for celebration, boredom, depression, etc.  Just like drugs or alcohol, food is a fickle friend; one moment it makes you feel wonderful, full, and satisfied but the next you are clearly reminded why you should spend less time with it.

It comes down to learning why those of us who use food as our drug of choice do that.  I believe I can find that and the encouragement do stop at WW.  I will also be praying my way through it, giving myself the forgiveness needed for the likely blunders I will make along the way and the ability to celebrate without food.

Onward!

McDonalds & Weight Watchers Wednesday!

Today I am writing from our local McDonalds playland.  The three younger chicks and I like to come here sometimes to do school so baby chick can play.  It is usually pretty quiet and Tabitha will have one or two other kids to play with; also leaving her older siblings alone to do their school work.

But today...today there must be some sort of early release (from a preschool insane asylum) because it is deafening in here.  There is a good chance that this place has reached its capacity!

All sorts of animal, alien and flat out crazy noises are steaming out from the slide and plastic crawl spaces.  Tabitha, who is usually very social (and more aggressive) has come out more than a 1/2 dozen times to report touching, pushing and the occasional, "no one will play with me".

What are they putting in this food?  If I didn't know better I would bet that a packet of sugar had been added to every bite of food that touched their lips.

I have decided the only fair and just thing to do is to add a pair of ear plugs and a Xanax to every Happy Meal...for Mommy.  ;)

I am going to need a nap.

I am happy to announce
I am down 1.5 lbs this week!
 Yahooooooo.
Happy Dance!

Now that the weather is cooling off I have got to get my hiney out and start walking!

It's Weight Watcher Wednesday!

Weigh In - down 1.5 lbs (can I get a WOO WOO?)

I can't say I stayed on program the whole week but my "try not to be a pig" concept did help.  I realize how important it is to track and move.  When I am tracking everything I eat better and when I move I lose more weight.  Seems like a DUH Tiff right?  Well I didn't get this way because I do the right thing when it comes to this stuff so bare with my revelations.  :P

OK now for a yummy product review!!!

If you like cereal or if you like a sweet treat without a lot of points, I can recommend the Special K Chocolately Delight Cereal.  Not too sweet, so it doesn't really taste like a dessert, but sweet enough (w/chocolate pieces) to stop a craving in its track!  I bought mine this week with The Grocery Game list and got them for 99 cents a box!

One cup of this Special K was only 2 WW points - so a great breakfast or snack!

I dare you not to be motivated!

Everytime I watch this video I feel empowered.  Doesn't Jennifer Hudson look amazing?  She was beautiful before but she is glowing now!  I CAN!

The 1st Weight Watchers Wednesday!

Today is my first post for Weight Watchers Wednesday.  This happens to be my weigh in day so what better day to share a little WW insight?

So here is the scoop:

Start Day (this time):  September 1st
Total Loss so far: A whopping 3.5 lbs (better down than up right?)
Loss for this week: .5 lbs

Well I have to admit I started strong and ended weakly.  My goal this week is just to stick to points and journal.  I am using the WW app for my Iphone and it is sooooo much better than writing in a paper journal for me.  I am also doing the online version of Weight Watchers.  I would prefer to do the meetings but right now I simply have ZERO time to add another appointment to my calendar.  I can say the message boards are a great place to share and gather information, get encouragement and a challenge.

So here is my low point breakfast today:
1 c multi-grain cheerios (on sale $1.88 a box)
1/2 of a large bananna sliced
3/4 c of 1% milk
Coffee with 1/2 c of fat free half and half and truvia

And the grand total for that breakfast?????????

5 points!!!!!

At some point this week I plan to open Walk It Out for the Wii - I'll post a review after.  :)  I have only had it sitting here for 3 weeks waiting to be opened!

Ok as a side note I'd love to know if anyone is reading this so please leave a comment here or anywhere on the blog and say hello.
